News; Hairdressers in the pink for breast cancer charity day

Staff dressed up, decorated the salon and raffled off a set of GHD hair straighteners worth £135 to raise money for breast cancer charities.



Louise Howe, salon manager, said: "It's a yearly thing we do, we're a GHD hair straighters salon and they sponsor breast cancer research quite heavily, and October's breast cancer month.



"We call it Pink Day so the salon is really pink and we all dress in pink."



The salon has raised £130 so far but the raffle runs until the end of the month with the winner's name being drawn on October 31.



Louise added: "We've still got a couple of weeks so we're hoping to raise about £400."
